  1. As we know, if Sola Scriptura were correct, how could the Church have survived in its earliest days — when there was no New Testament yet! Was there no teaching, nothing to learn or pass on?… and as you said, why would the Church select these 73 books if they contradicted Tradition?

  2. I’ve been teaching my 6th-grade catechism class straight from Scripture for the last few years because, like you say, The Bible Tells Me So.

    BTW right now I’m re-reading Shea’s new, expanded version of BWA.

    • I haven’t read the expanded version, but I finished the original not too long ago. I’ll have to check that out! Shea is one of my favorite Catholic writers. He is a wonderful force for the Church.
